Over the last twenty years Lech Walesa has visited and received honorary titles from hundreds of universities and colleges around the world. By reestablishing contacts with the educational institutions which invited the President in the recent years, we are willing to create opportunities for Polish students to have better access to information and possible studying at those institutions.

After the fall of the Eastern Bloc, Poland has pursued a policy of economic liberalization. The implementation of a liberal law on establishing new firms has encouraged the development of private business sector constrained , however, by bureaucracy and corruption. The situation requires an apt diagnosis and effective repair.
