2023-06-05

On 5 June this year, the 12th UAM Charity Concert was held in the Adam Mickiewicz University Auditorium in Poznań. The motto of this year's edition was "One Voice with Free Ukraine". During it, a letter from President Lech Wałęsa expressing support for Ukrainians fighting for freedom was read out.

Well-known artists performed on stage, including Stanisław Soyka, Czesław Mozil, Wanda Kwietniewska, Maja Koman, Runforrest, Swiernalis, Arek Kłusowski and the Pogłosy Choir. During the concert, funds were collected for sick and orphaned children residing in Ukraine. In addition to the fundraising, there was also a charity auction.

President Lech Wałęsa sent a commemorative letter to the organisers and participants of the concert expressing his solidarity with the idea behind the concert and his support for Ukraine's struggle for freedom, which was read out during the event. He also donated 3 autographed books for auction. Other items put up for auction included works by well-known artists and souvenirs donated by Polish politicians (including the President of the Civic Platform, Donald Tusk, and the Speaker of the Polish Senate, Tomasz Grodzki).
